The P.T.A … Parent Teacher Association

This is a group of mainly parents who have children who attend Parochial Primary along with Mrs Roscoe the Parental link/pupil mentor and Mrs Orchard a Teaching assistant.

First and foremost, it is a fantastic way to make friends with other parents as well as a great way of connecting with your child’s school.

We work as a group to plan and hold events to raise funds for equipment for the school which will be used directly by the children such as library furniture.

All are welcome to attend including grandparents and dads, the meetings are held in the school staffroom usually at 3.30pm and childcare WILL be provided if this helps. There is always tea and biscuits to help with the ideas!

The parent’s notice board is where the date for the next meeting is displayed along with a newsletter of what happened in the meeting and any events planned are advertised. We also send texts of meeting dates and times.

Recently the number of parents attending the meetings and supporting the events has been disappointing and we would love to change this. We welcome everyone to the meetings and value any contributions made.

If you would like to be involved in any way but cannot attend the meetings please come and have a chat with me. I will be available in the playground on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and after school.

Please try and support the P.T.A and the events organised as it is to benefit YOUR children.

Thank you

Mrs Roscoe and Mrs Orchard
